Well, I am a huge fan of those sitcoms and I literally spend hours watching them every day, on my laptop and while many say that they are a waste of time, from what I have come to discover, it’s not entirely true. So here I present some of my favorite sitcoms and some great things that I have learned from it.
1) The Game Of Thrones
The most practical out of the lot. Well, you don’t need to be a hero to win a war, all you need is a little bit of practical approach. That is the reason why Ned Stark died in the first season itself, and Lord Baelish and Lord Tyrion have still survived. Also during conversation with Jon Snow, he says
2) How I Met Your Mother
‘Nothing good ever happens after 2 am.’ Well, jokes apart this serial made me realize the importance of having friends as they become a family away from family. It was really inspiring to watch how all the friends stick together and help each other out through all the different phases of life. And as Barney said ‘Whatever you do in life it’s not legendary unless your friends are there to see it.’
3) Friends
My favorite out of all. Every character has its own fell to it. Joey taught the true meaning of friendship, Rachel taught it’s never too late to follow your dreams, Phoebe had her own unique way of life, Ross cared about their friends the most, Monica showed the importance of cleanliness and being competitive lastly Chandler came in with his sarcasm and awesome jokes.
4) Vampire Diaries
Although it consisted of power strives and politics there is this one aspect that clearly rises above all. Vampire Dairies focuses on every detail when it comes to death. Death on VD is always a sorry state, whether it is Rose or Katherine or Nadia. It always makes to cry (again hypothetically). Like however much we want Katherine gone during her last time we can’t help but feel sorry for her.
5) The Big Bang Theory
Never thought that watching something related to science could be this much fun. And then this song,
6) Sherlock
There is so much to learn from this show. Perception, deduction and what not. But one thing that clearly stands out from other detective serials and books and can be implemented in real life is the powerful technique to create memory palaces. A very helpful trick to aid memory.
